PLANNING OF URBAN REDEVELOPMENT OF EASTERN ENTRANCE OF KALAMARIA

T he study concerns the highlighting of the Eastern Entrance of Kalamaria (intersection of Agricultural School Avenue with Ikaron Street) and the redesign of the area with urban renewal and sports infrastructure projects, as well as the construction of a steel footbridge which will serve pedestrians, increasing the safety of movement them and at the same time will be a new architectural landmark for the area. The aim is to upgrade the entrance of the Municipality, its signage, and the creation of a new, lively urban core for the citizens with the appropriate modern specifications and services.

The proposal includes the lighting of all the new spaces and constructions under construction, the increase of urban greenery, the creation of new sidewalks and a bicycle path, the fencing of the sports area and the creation of new indoor and outdoor courts.
