AMERICAN FARM SCHOOL “ALIKI PERROTIS EDUCATIONAL CENTER”

The new building complex meets the needs of a college of high academic standards with a capacity of 500 undergraduate students and 100 postgraduate students.

The new building consists of two wings which are connected to each other with a two-level central foyer while at the same time they are directly connected to the ground floor with the existing building of D.Perrotis College. ( Seth Frank Hall of Graduate Studies )

The new building houses the students' classrooms with amphitheaters, workshops and communal areas.

The overall design was based on the principles of sustainable development and bioclimatic architecture. This happens in order to maximize the efficiency of the energy use, water and materials, while reducing pollutants while creating an appropriate learning environment for the reinforcement of learning process. Characteristic of the building is its integration into the natural environment through its geometry and the use of materials that strengthen the relationship with the existing building environment of AFS.

The building is developed in 3 levels, with a cover area of 1.120m2 per floor and a total area of 3.360m2.
