T he project concerns the construction of a model building for Alzheimer's, approximately 2,000 square meters, with the aim of preventing the disease through appropriate interventions and activities, which will be provided to citizens under the supervision of scientific staff. The building extends over 3 levels, basement, ground floor and first floor, which adapt to the slope of the ground. On the ground floor are the administrative offices, as well as the spaces for the most collective and group activities, while on the first floor are the intervention areas and the clinics. In the basement, parking spaces and other auxiliary spaces are created, while the multi-purpose hall is built at ground level towards the lower side of the plot. Green areas are planned around the building, as well as additional parking spaces. The design of the building was based on the organization of the required spaces around a central atrium to introduce more light, more greenery but also to create a better controlled and safer outdoor space, which can be used for the related prevention actions. The roof of the building is fully utilized for the creation of additional green space but also for the construction of bioclimatic roofs with the aim of the best possible energy classification of the building. In the same context, the facades of the building are configured with shades and also with green walls. The goal is, with an emphasis on green, light and colors, to create a quality environment, which will contribute to the scientific work of the staff.
