To fulfill the mission of the Operational Program 2015-2019 of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, local development planning was compiled. In the context of the development of the environment and quality of life, several projects were proposed and executed through SNF.

REDEVELOPMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT OF GENI CAMII MOSQUE AND ROADS OF SYNGROU, HERAKLIOU AND AGIOU MINA

The project concerns the creation of secure accesses and the prominence of buildings with special interest (buildings of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki), namely:

I. Jewish Museum on Agiou Mina Street.

II. The Monastery Synagogue on Sygrou Street.

III. Synagogue Yiad Lesikaron on Vasileos Heraklion Street.

IV. Yeni Mosque on the Archaeological Museum Street

The aim of the project is the functional and aesthetic restoration of the study areas, the improvement of accessibility, the arrangement of the parking of the vehicles, the replacement of the existing protective barriers in front of the buildings of the Jewish Community of Thessaloniki, the reconstruction of public spaces and last but not least, the increase of green areas wherever possible.
